This area shows Lin's various foreign works, including more than 80 species, such as novels, biographies, essays, monthly, etc. There are various versions in different languages, including Japanese, Korean, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Denish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and other 12 languages. The Lin Yutang House collects Lin Yutang’s existing research results based on the scale of the original library's collection, and aims to become the world center of Lin's research.
This space regularly organizes "Yutang’s Weekend Lectures", seminars and cultural activities, in order to promote Dr. Lin’s spirit of "art of living." People are also welcomed to lease this venue for holding meetings, seminars or workshops.
You-Bu-Wei-Jhai' Café
This place was the living room and dining room of the Lins, and is now renovated into You-Bu-Wei-Jhai Restaurant, where visitors can enjoy delicious cuisines with wonderful scenery and surroundings. “Isn't this happiness!”

Open-air space, welcoming visitors to apply for holding cultural activities.
Bedroom
Mr. Lin had the habits of reading, writing and smoking at night, and these habits could possibly affect Mrs. Lin’s original daily schedule and health. Therefore, they decided to sleep separately in different rooms. Mr. Lin went to bed here, while Mrs. Lin’s room was originally at the Exhibition Room no. 3.

Study Room
During his years living here, Mr. Lin spent his time reading and writing mainly in the Study room. Sometimes, it was also a space to meet important visitors.
Here now, you can see the books of different languages Mr. Lin had read, the manuscripts of Lin Yutang’s Chinese-English Dictionary of Modern Usage, and the Invention Exhibition.

Central courtyard
The Lin Yutang House was designed by Dr. Lin himself. He once described its beauty by saying, “This is the house, in which there is a garden, in which there is a home, in which there are trees, above which is the sky, in which is the moon. What a pleasant place to be at!”
Dinging Room and Living Room
This room was originally separated into two spaces, the bathroom and Mrs. Lin’s bedroom. Now, it exhibits the furniture of the living room and the dining room, the painting and calligraphy by Mr. Lin, and the gifts from his friends.
Balcony
The place where Dr. Lin was often found. He once wrote, “At dusk following dinner, after finishing work, while eating pieces of watermelon, I sit on the balcony and relax alone in this cool space. Holding a pipe my mouth, sometimes I smoke, sometimes I don't. Watching the hill in front gradually sink into the elusiveness of the dim night, while the lamplights shine down at Tienmu, and the cool breeze gently blows.
Tomb
On 26 March, 1976, Dr. Lin passes away in Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong; on 29 March, his remains are moved back to Taipei and the memorial service held at Grace Baptist Church; on April 1, Dr. Lin’s remains are buried with a Bible with residence in the backyard of The Lin Yutang House. The tombstone was written by his good friend --- Mr. Qian Mu.
Lin Yutang once said that "To be a writer, you must be able to react to the times". Lin Yutang did it, and left four dozen works to spread his wisdom and thoughts.
